The Windy City Gym was a historic landmark in the Chicago boxing world. It was to Chicago boxing what Wrigley Field is to Chicago baseball.
Beyond just teaching kids how to box, Windy City Gym taught kids valuable life lessons about competing, discipline, hard work and how to face a challenge alone. It's always sad when a historic place that so many of us have a connection with closes.
